Charlotte’s inspiring journey in the TEC industry
As we celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, it’s a perfect time to highlight the remarkable journey of our Operations Manager Charlotte Green. This year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action, ’ resonates deeply with Charlotte’s career progression and her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of vulnerable individuals in our communities.
Making a difference
Charlotte joined Delta Wellbeing in September 2019 as an adviser. Coming from a background as a teaching assistant in a local primary school, she was new to the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) industry. However, her passion for making a difference quickly became evident; she became a team leader just six months later, and 18 months later, in November 2021, her dedication and hard work led to her promotion to Operations Manager. In this role, Charlotte oversees our 24/7 monitoring centre, managing a team of 80 staff and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of over 36,000 lifeline connections with an average of more than 1.5 million calls a year.
Charlotte played a pivotal role in successfully delivering our new digital monitoring and response platform, demonstrating her commitment to continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with our strategic partner, CGI, Charlotte ensured that our services remained ahead of the curve, launching the platform two years ahead of the then-proposed 2025 analogue switch-off. This is instrumental in our ambition to fully integrate health and care services as we expand our range of assistive technology products and transform health and social care delivery across the region.
Recognition for her achievements
In recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions, Charlotte was honoured with the Operational Leader Award at the ITEC Awards 2024. This accolade, presented by the TSA, the advisory body for TEC in the UK, celebrates individuals who have made a significant positive impact on the lives of many through TEC services. During the last year, Charlotte has dedicated herself to further improving and enhancing our digital platform to make sure it can really change the way we deliver our services – to be more proactive and preventative – helping and supporting the people in our communities to maintain their independence and to improve their health and wellbeing.
International Women's Day
International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, honours the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women worldwide. It’s also a call to action for accelerating gender parity. The 2025 theme, ‘Accelerate Action, ’ emphasises the urgency in advancing gender equality. At the current rate of progress, it is estimated that full gender parity will not be achieved until 2158, highlighting the need for immediate and effective measures to eliminate systemic barriers and biases.
#AccelerateAction
Charlotte’s journey embodies the spirit of ‘Accelerate Action’; her rapid progression within Delta Wellbeing, from an adviser to operations manager, showcases what’s possible when passion meets opportunity. Her efforts have not only advanced her career but have also significantly improved the quality of care we provide to our service users.
As we reflect on this year’s IWD theme, Charlotte’s story serves as an inspiration, demonstrating that with determination and support, we can accelerate action towards a more equitable and inclusive future.
She is one of a number of talented women in senior leadership and managerial roles at Delta Wellbeing, highlighting our commitment to fostering gender equality and empowering women in the workplace. Let’s celebrate all the incredible women who are driving change and making a difference in their communities!
