Step into National Walking Month with Delta Wellbeing
May marks National Walking Month — the perfect opportunity to get moving, enjoy the outdoors and boost your wellbeing. Walking is one of the easiest ways to stay active, yet it offers incredible benefits for your mind, body and soul.
At Delta Wellbeing, we’re passionate about helping our communities stay connected, safe and independent. That includes encouraging everyone to take small steps toward better health.
The power of walking
Walking isn’t just great exercise; it’s a powerful tool for overall wellbeing:
-
Boosts mental health by reducing stress, anxiety and depression.
-
Improves physical health, supporting heart health, mobility and balance.
-
Enhances social connections — whether it’s a casual stroll with a friend or joining a community walking group.
-
Supports independence, especially for older adults looking to stay active safely.
Even a short daily walk can make a real difference!
How CONNECT can help you walk with confidence
Our CONNECT service is designed to provide peace of mind, whether you're out for a gentle walk around the block or tackling a challenging hike.

Celebrating Shereen's mighty challenge 💚
We’re also incredibly proud to share that our amazing Team Leader Shereen is taking her own walking journey to the next level!
On 5 July 2025, Shereen will be taking on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike (Half Marathon) to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Every penny raised helps Macmillan provide medical, practical and emotional support to people living with cancer and their families.
Just one day's funding for a Macmillan nurse makes a life-changing difference for someone facing cancer.
With over 3 million people in the UK affected by cancer, Macmillan’s mission to be there from day one has never been more important.
🙏 To make a donation and support Shereen’s incredible effort visit:
Let's cheer Shereen on every step of the way — and celebrate the simple power of walking this National Walking Month!
