Delta Wellbeing announces appointment of new company Chair

Llesiant Delta Wellbeing, a centre of excellence for Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services in Wales, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Joakim as its new company Chair.

Delta Wellbeing is entering an exciting phase of development following a period of rapid growth, and with Ben’s appointment, the company is ready to build on its success and continue delivering impactful, technology-driven support services that enable residents across Wales to live independently and confidently in their homes.

Ben brings a wealth of experience as an entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in finance, technology and community sectors. Passionate about fostering sustainable growth and innovation, Ben’s career has spanned senior roles with organisations including the Principality Building Society, Fintech Wales, and the Celtic Freeport. His work has driven impact at scale through strategic governance, investment and innovation.

Previously, Ben founded Disberse, an FCA authorised financial technology platform enhancing the transparency of global aid, in partnership with the UK government and the UN. He also has significant experience leading non-profits across sub-Saharan Africa, advancing enterprise, employment and education.

In addition to his new role at Delta Wellbeing, Ben is Chair of the Institute of Welsh Affairs, Wales’s leading independent think tank. He is a recognised advocate for building a more prosperous Wales in a sustainable world.

Ben, a UWC Atlantic College and Cardiff University alumni, said: “I am excited to join Delta Wellbeing as Chair and work alongside Samantha and her team. The company has already achieved so much in transforming care through innovation, and I look forward to building on this foundation to scale our reach and impact – empowering more people across Wales to live independently and confidently.”
