Delta Wellbeing shortlisted for two national awards
Delta Wellbeing has been shortlisted in two categories of the prestigious Caring UK Awards.
The company has been selected as a finalist for Employer of the Year and for its Commitment to Training and Development.
The awards recognise excellence and achievement within the care sector across the UK.
Delta Wellbeing’s pioneering 24-hour community response service is the first of its kind to be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales, and provides crucial support to residents, helping prevent hospital admissions and enabling independent living.
A Local Authority Trading Company owned by Carmarthenshire County Council, the company specialises in providing assistive technology and proactive monitoring to support older and vulnerable individuals in maintaining their independence.
Carmarthenshire County Council's Cabinet Member for Health and Social Services Cllr Jane Tremlett said: “Being shortlisted for two national awards is testament to Delta Wellbeing’s innovative approach and unwavering commitment to our community and to the training and development of their staff; highlighting the exceptional nature of their services, which are making a real difference in the lives of our most vulnerable residents.
“The close collaboration between Delta Wellbeing, the council’s social services, and the health board ensures that residents receive comprehensive care at home. This approach not only prevents unnecessary hospital admissions but also promotes independence and wellbeing.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the whole team. Their dedication, even in challenging circumstances, continues to inspire. They consistently go above and beyond for their clients, significantly enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.”
The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Virgin Money.
Up to seven finalists have been selected in each category to go through to the next stage of the judging process.
Caring UK Awards event director Dominic Musgrave said: “The Caring UK Awards are now in their seventh year and with more entries than ever before, our finalists really have reason to celebrate too as it’s a huge achievement to have made the shortlist and is testament to the teams behind each.”
The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on Thursday, December 5 when the industry will gather to salute all that is great about the care sector.
